In Matthew Chapter 4, Jesus calls two disciples to come, follow him, and be fishers of people. That call implies that Jesus calls us into relationship…with himself, each other, and with people that we encounter in our lives. Camp Hopewell has been a place calling us to be fishers of people since 1949. The call is even louder today as a pandemic has made relationships with others harder than before.
Over the weekend of October 23-25th, Camp Hopewell is asking you to join us in ensuring that our camp continues well into the future, facilitating opportunities for all to engage in being fishers of people.
We will be hosting a Fishing for the Future fundraiser and you can learn how to join in the fun below!
-
Option 1 - Catch Live Fish
-
During the weekend of October 23-25, go fishing! It's that easy! Record your catches by sending us photos of your fish and their weight (fishing@camphopewell.com). Prizes will be awarded for the most fish caught and the largest fish in the following age catagories; Under 10, 10-14, 15+. Registration is $10 per person (all ages welcome!). You can up the ante by collecting pledge support for Camp Hopewell. Ask your friends + family to donate per fish you catch (or just give a donation!)
-
The best part is that you can fish where you are! But if you need a place to fish, Lake Allen will be available for use, just make sure to RSVP with us beforehand. While you're at it, why not make a weekend out of it? You can stay onsite at Hopewell for one or two nights, just check out our Weekend in the Woods program to book your stay.
